Quick Answer: A refund may appear as a separate incoming payment, but sometimes the original charge simply disappears or changes. This depends on the payment status when your refund was processed.
💳 If the payment was still pending or authorized
Sometimes a payment is authorized but has not yet been fully transferred to Best.me. This means your bank has temporarily reserved the money, but the payment has not been completed yet.
If we refund the payment at this stage, the transaction may simply be cancelled (voided). Instead of seeing a separate refund:
The pending charge may disappear.
The reserved funds may become available again.
💡 Note: If the cancellation does not appear immediately, the funds should be released automatically when your bank's authorization period expires. The timing varies between banks, so please contact your bank if you want to know when the funds will become available.
💰 If the payment was already completed
If the payment had already been transferred to Best.me, the refund should appear as a separate incoming transaction.
📘 Refunds normally appear within 10 business days after they are processed.
💙 What about PayPal refunds?
PayPal payments can also remain authorized for some time before they are completed.
If we process the refund before the payment is completed, it may appear as a voided or cancelled payment rather than a separate refund. The funds may be released immediately or remain authorized until the authorization period expires.
If the payment was already completed, the refund will be returned as an incoming payment to your linked card or bank account.
➗ What about partial refunds?
Partial refunds can appear differently depending on your bank and the payment status. For example, you may see:
A separate refund for the refunded amount.
The original pending amount reduced.
The original pending payment disappear and a new, lower amount appear instead.
🤔 Can't find your refund?
Banks and card issuers display refunds differently, so your statement may not look exactly as expected.
If you're unsure, our Support Team can provide a refund confirmation letter. You can share it with your bank and ask them to check the transaction for you.
